Founded by Muhammad Ali, Andre Agassi, Mia Hamm and nine other elite athletes in 2006,Athletes for Hope (AFH) is a cause-neutral non-profit that educates, encourages, and empowersathletes to find their passions and use their time to positively engage with their communities.Over the past 15 years, AFH has educated more than professional, Olympic, Paralympicand collegiate athletes through its Causeway workshop series, and its network includesthousands of athletes across nearly every sport. AFH’s core programs focus on underservedyouth physical activity and leadership, mental health, and brightening the lives of children inhospitals. Through their dedication and passion for doing good, AFH athletes have positivelyimpacted the lives of millions around the world.

ABOUT MATT GRANT
I am a former collegiate athlete turned corporate athlete, applying the discipline, resilience, and values I learned on the field and in the locker room to build ecosystems that thrive in business and beyond. As a builder, connector, and catalyst, I work at the intersection of sports, business and community impact, helping organizations, leagues and brands unlock growth by creating partnerships that expand access, elevate voices and drive measurable results.Beyond my professional work, I am deeply committed to philanthropy and equity in sport and life. I serve on the board of Athletes for Hope, collaborate with the Positive Coaching Alliance to advance the Oakland Sports Equity Coalition, and champion initiatives that expand opportunities for youth through sports, arts and education.From supporting the launch of new opportunities in women’s sports to advancing youth sports equity in Oakland to guiding global brands in translating sponsorships into cultural impact, my work is rooted in integrity, collaboration and forward focused growth. I believe success is measured not only by what we build, but by how many others we empower along the way.
