ABOUT MALAVIKA KRISHNAN
I am an urbanist with over 6 years of experience working in the UK, the Netherlands and India, with a strong interest in sustainable urban development that delivers positive impacts for people and the planet.I currently manage the Energy Capital Net Zero Neighbourhoods programme at the WMCA, working towards delivering a just energy transition in the Midlands. Key focus areas include net-zero, retrofit and sustainability finance working closely with local authorities, delivery partners and co-designed by communities.My background is in Architectural Design and I hold a master\'s in Urban Development from TU Delft, the Netherlands. I previously worked as a Senior Consultant at Partnering Regeneration Development (PRD), London on strategy, delivery, and impact assessment, on place-based regeneration and investment and as project coordinator for Vereniging Deltametropool (VDM), a Dutch think tank based in Rotterdam on climate resilience and research
