About Mayank Gandhi

I am an actively involved Staff Psychologist in the Severe Behavior Intensive Therapy Program at Cincinnati Children\'s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). I am currently a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) and licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio. Clinically, I am committed to applying my knowledge, skills, and past experience Applied Behavior Analysis and Psychology toward helping children and families of children with neurodevelopmental differences, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, who engage in severe challenging behaviors (e.g, aggression, self-injury, disruptive behavior, pica, elopement, etc.). For research, my interests lie in the following topics: the assessment and treatment of automatically maintained behaviors, extinction, behavior relapse, renewal, treatment of self-injury, generalization of treatments, and increasing caregiver participation in treatment. I am skilled in leadership, team management, critical thinking, communication, research, data collection, and data analysis.

    Oversee clinical programing alongside a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the assessment and treatment of severe target behaviors (e.g, aggression, disruption, self-injurious behavior, pica, elopement). Individuals in this clinic are pediatric patients aged 2-21 are diagnosed with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include providing supervision to direct care staff (RBTs), BCBAs, and BCBA supervisees, writing insurance authorizations for Applied Behavior Analysis codes, conducting weekly behavioral consult appointments, conducting therapeutic planning sessions with families that are about to start in SBIT, conducting Autism Spectrum Disorder consult appointments for updating diagnoses for individuals currently receiving treatment, conducting trainings for RBTs regarding behavior analytic principles and interventions, attending programming meetings, and providing support to patient flow and the SBIT schedule alongside the clinical program manager and psychologist.
