Under the auspices of the HGAC (WFS) providing direct leadership support and expertise to a team of 9 Business Coordinators (Hybrid), and adjunct support to 20 Business Consultants, and allied team members, servicing the 13-County Houston TX region; ensuring they have the resources and information needed to effectively connect employers with 7 direct service and additional pathway offerings to provide solutions to their workforce issues. challenges and problems. —When tasked with \"filling the gap\" maintaining a career office and providing services to employers; serving as a key player in driving success for both employers and job seekers within the organization.Responsibilities-Team Support: Provide guidance and support to the Business Supervisors, Consultants and Talent Advisor teams, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to fulfill their roles effectively-Client/Employer Engagement & Success: Build and maintain relationships with employers, understanding their workforce needs, and coordinating efforts to connect them with suitable candidates-Resource Management: Oversee the career office, ensuring it is equipped with relevant materials and resources for job seekers and employers-Program Coordination: Collaborate with program managers to align workforce development programs with the needs of local businesses and industries-Data Management: Maintain accurate records of employer interactions, job placements, and program outcomes to track the success of the BSU\'s efforts-Training and Development: Provide training to team members on employer engagement strategies, best practices, and industry trends-Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the Business Services Unit team activities, outcomes, and areas for improvement for senior management, leadership and internal/external stakeholders-Job Fairs and Events: Participate and supplement onsite staff at job fairs and related public facing community events.
