Growing up, I\'ve always had a passion for computers and electronics. I remember sitting in front of an old Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop wondering how it works. Always fascinated by the thought process of the engineers in delivering those bulky pieces of machinery. I was even more intrigued when I was exposed to my first programming language in high school, BASIC. I was able to make automated calculations using simple lines of code. Fast forward about a decade after, this passion drove me into studying Computer Engineering at the University. There I also found a passion for computer networks and network security. This quest for knowledge led me to my recent academic conquest, achieving a Master\'s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa. Here I specialized in design and testing optical communication systems and devices by using the optical nonlinearities in Ternary and Quaternary Semiconductors for Nonlinear Photonic Integration at Telecommunication Wavelengths (1550 nm).My journey in Engineering has given me exposure, with more than Eight (8) years\' experience in designing, managing, and implementing information systems in different capacities including, Network Engineer, Systems Administrator, IT Training Director of Studies, etc. In this period, some of the things I did involve Programming with Python, MATLAB, VB.NET, and C/C++, Microcontroller Programming with Assembly Language, Network Engineering, Database Management, computer hardware maintenance, and repairs, Cryptography and Network Security, Data Encryption and Information Security.I also have Five (5) years\' experience in the design, testing, and analysis of Optical Communication Systems (ROADMs, WSS, OTN, DWDM, WSS, AWG, Link Planning, Monitoring, and Mentainance) and Photonics Networks with Nonlinear Optics, and Photonic Integration.I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.
