As SHEQ Manager, I am responsible for Safety, Health and Environmental programs as well as our Quality Processes. On the EHS side of my job, my responsibilities revolve around compliance and injury reduction. I conduct training classes in LOTO, fork truck safety, ergonomics, etc. I facilitate 8D investigations into safety incidents and near misses. I directly supervise four Quality Techs who perform ongoing DOT testing on our IBCs and verify that our product conforms to specifications. In addition, I interact with our customers and suppliers to investigate product and component defects.
