I have been developing new simulation models and GNC algorithms for various mission modes, and have significantly contributed to detailed design (CDR), preliminary design (PDR) and conceptual design (CONOPS) for three highly-innovative missions. A few success examples include- Proactive diagnosis and resolution of the bottlenecks in the Monte-Carlo simulation workflow (up to 80% reduction in the post-processing time and simulation data size) which was instrumental in timely delivery for the CDR- Development of a custom Monte-Carlo simulation setup (combining two diff erent simulation models) for docking in space; and completion of analysis and documentation up to PDR level. Going above and beyond my tasks, I created test-cases, generated data and helped the supplier identify and fix bugs/errors leading to a reduction in the failure rate to a quarter of the prior results- Ownership (improvements/maintenance/analysis/documentation) of a few mission phases for CDR. In particular, development of a new pointing mode for sun pointing under multiple constraints and delivery for the CDR- Key contributions towards development of ConOps for a new mission, including conceptualization, feasibility, and rapid iterations based on approximate analyses- Research and development of a high-fidelity IMU model (Gyro+Accelerometer) in Simulink (included a specialized test harness and model validation scripts, which demonstrated good agreement with real datasets even with varying sample times)- Collaborated/mentored other engineers to develop new algorithms and models; also helped them in their personal growth and skills development
