ABOUT MEVAN DISSANAYAKE
I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and have recently expanded my technical toolkit through MIT’s Applied Data Science Program. With a foundational command of Python, machine learning, and data analytics, I am well-positioned to contribute to next-generation semiconductor technologies through both experimental and computational innovation.During my time at Intel Corporation, I oversaw CMP operations supporting the 5nm, 3nm, and 18A technology nodes—taking ownership of critical layers and driving performance improvements through robust DOE planning and algorithmic tooling optimization. I led the installation and qualification of LkPrime equipment, conducted root-cause analyses on both LkPrime and Reflexion platforms, and managed consumables screening to ensure defectivity and throughput targets were met. As Module PCSA Owner, I applied Six Sigma principles to maintain and improve process stability.My experience also includes automation project leadership, from software upgrades and JSL scripting for data extraction, to the development of SPC dashboards, automated checklists, and introduction sequences—all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Through collaboration with equipment vendors such as AMAT, I contributed to platform and software enhancements. Additionally, I created training materials for onboarding new engineers and organized the “Planar Pathways” career development series to support peer growth.
