Partner with ISOs, ISSOs/ISSMs, and A&A teams to guide risk management, validate security posture, and support ATO decisions.• Lead assessments of security controls, validate effectiveness, and ensure compliance with DoD regulations and RMF lifecycle requirements. • Provide expert guidance on RMF control implementation, evidence collection, vulnerability analysis, and remediation tracking.• Perform testing, validation, and reporting of findings; deliver clear risk assessments, residual risk ratings, and authorization recommendations.• Review inheritance mappings, system roles, asset inventories, and eMASS uploads to ensure accuracy and alignment with data calls, diagrams, and ConMon dashboards.• Ensure vulnerability scans meet DISA RE5 guidelines; track CRITICAL/HIGH/MODERATE findings and ensure remediation plans are documented.• Communicate assessment results to stakeholders and authorizing officials; submit System Assessment Reports to DISA RE5 leadership for final authorization decisions.• Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, STIG updates, and best practices to strengthen compliance and risk mitigation.
