Dr Mershack’s research interests cover a wide range in the area of construction engineering with a focus on construction project management and advanced technology applications. This includes international construction and management strategies; forming and building hybrid-oriented project-based partnerships – international construction joint ventures; contract management and administration; construction procurement and digital supply chain management; green and sustainable construction; transforming aged existing buildings to nearly Zero Energy Buildings; developing comprehensive models for complex infrastructure management processes; intelligent decision support systems for infrastructure design, construction, maintenance and operation processes; modular and offsite construction; building information modelling; artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies.
