Every day, Multnomah County Library reaches more than children through children\'s literacy programs made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation. The foundation\'s Every Family Every Child Campaign exceeded financial goals, enabling the library to reach thousands of children, from birth through high school, with life-changing programs. The Library Foundation is the leading advocate for stable, secure public funding for Multnomah County Library. Through five successful ballot measure campaigns (20••••20), the foundation team raised funds, mobilized political will and brought local and national visibility to the library’s innovative, award-winning work. In 2012, the library district was passed by voters, creating stable, permanent operations support for Multnomah County Library. In 2020, a capital bond was approved by voters to significantly renovate buildings, technology and infrastructure.
