ABOUT MERRILL FUNG

Merrill’s passion to innovate and think creatively, continues to hone over 28 years of experience in the real estate sector - a keen interest in urban planning, architecture, and design. Through the lens of underwriting projects, market assumptions, projected revenues and costing, Merrill adds tangible value to design, from master planning of mixed-use developments to retail (shopping centers), residential (multi-family), office and hospitality. Currently, Merrill is Vice President of Architecture and Design, Development, at Cadillac Fairview Corp, one of the largest owners, operators, and developers of best-in-class office, retail and mixed-use properties in North America. Merrill leads and ensures the overall creative vision of the company’s redevelopment projects is aligned with Cadillac Fairview’s position on future densification and diversification when working with multi-disciplinary teams both internal and external. Merrill holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture and a Master degree in Real Estate Development. One of Merrill’s favorite quotes is “Creativity is a wild mind & a disciplined eye” by Dorothy Parker.
