As an undergraduate at Binghamton University pursuing a B.S. in Anthropology, with minors in Economics and French, I am deeply interested in how people, cultures, and institutions shape the way societies function across the world.My academic focus is on understanding human behavior, social systems, and the role of culture in shaping communication, decision making, and collective life. Through coursework in social and biological anthropology, economics, and professional writing, I have developed a strong foundation in research, critical analysis, and cross cultural communication. I am especially interested in how ideas, values, and structures influence the way people interact within communities and across borders.A formative year studying at the International School Eindhoven in the Netherlands played a major role in shaping my academic direction. Living in an international environment exposed me to a wide range of cultural perspectives and ways of thinking, and challenged me to understand the world beyond a single national or cultural lens. Working alongside students from different countries taught me how deeply culture shapes communication, problem solving, and everyday social life. That experience ultimately led me to pursue anthropology and a globally oriented academic path.Outside the classroom, I serve as a Community Assistant, a staff writer and interning editor for Pipe Dream, intern at TurnUP Activism, and the Social Media Specialist for Binghamton’s Anthropology Club. Across these roles, I focus on communication, community building, and public engagement, applying anthropological thinking to real social environments.I am passionate about language learning and cultural exchange, and I hope to build a career in spaces that connect research, communication, and global understanding.
