About Meron Fikru
I am a graduate of the London School of Economics\' MSc in Criminal Justice Policy program. Prior to the LSE, I received my BA in the Law, Societies and Justice program from the University of Washington in Seattle. In previous spaces, I have spent time researching civil rights in Mississippi, studying drug policy in the Netherlands, and been extensively involved in student leadership and activism in Seattle, Washington. My studies, work experiences, and unique extra-curricular involvement have only furthered my commitment to human rights and criminal justice reform. My research interests intersect across criminal justice and human rights, and my key focuses are in drug policy, prisons, the death penalty, and solitary confinement.
