ABOUT MERINDER DHINDSA
As a cognitive science major with a minor in psychology, I bring together a passion for understanding human behaviour with hands-on experience in public engagement, outreach, and communication. My roles as an Admissions & Outreach Intern at Thapar School of Liberal Arts & Sciences and a Web Content Writer at the Centre of Excellence in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence have strengthened my ability to connect with diverse audiences, guide students, and even provide elements of informal counselling. Volunteering with initiatives like TEDxMall Road, the National Service Scheme, and the National Credit Corps, along with certifications from Cambridge ESOL and IAYP (Silver Certification), has further enhanced my skills in public speaking, active listening, event anchoring, and relationship-building. Through MUN\'s, Thapar Adventure Club membership, and content creation, I’ve learned how to combine empathy, creativity, and strategy—skills that are highly relevant to the fields of psychology, cognitive science, and human-centered communication. I aim to leverage this unique blend of academic grounding and practical experience to build a career where understanding people and creating meaningful impact are at the core.
