ABOUT MEREDITH HERBST
As a Master of Urban and Regional Planning student at Portland State University, I am learning more about the relationships among development regulations, land use systems, and community well-being. Ultimately, I want to end up in a position where I can use my understanding of urban planning, executive functioning skills, and geographic lens to champion land use policies that improve our well-being and reduce the disparities among us. Originally from Dallas, and with educational experiences in Georgia and Italy, I am enjoying becoming immersed in the Pacific Northwest community by interning at the City of Vancouver, WA, serving as the Philanthropy Chair for the UGA Alumni Association\'s Portland Chapter, and learning about local history.
