As the department administrator, I am accountable for the management and oversight of clinical, operational, financial, and administrative processes and cross-functional alignment throughout the department of Psychiatry, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and in partnership with the Chief of Psychiatry. I manage the recruitment and onboarding for all incoming faculty, clinical, and administrative staff across the department, including faculty recruitment for the Brockton Behavioral Health Facility. I provide oversight and management of all the Psychiatry service lines and subspecialties, including the Adult & Child Outpatient clinics, Chaplaincy, Integrated Behavioral Health, Refugee, TMS, Trauma Center, Addiction, Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis, Psychiatric Emergency Services, Consult Liaison, Mobile emergency teams, Community Crisis Stabilization, and Community Health Center and community based contracts. The department includes over 50 faculty members, 268 clinical and administrative positions and trainees from several educational programs.Key Accomplishments• Implemented the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), effective January 3, 2023, which included: o Developed brand new Youth program in a newly licensed clinical space, negotiated and contracted with Youth Community Crisis Stabilization program, and secured all necessary contracts with community stakeholders and partners. o Worked with Professional Billing Office and financial executive leadership to implement necessary Epic and revenue cycle workflows to support the billing and documentation requirements to move toward value based operations and billing. o Provided oversight of extensive recruitment and hiring efforts of required clinical and administrative staff, developed workflows with clinical partners to meet programmatic requirements, and expanded clinical care to ensure access to evidenced based programming and timely behavioral health and SUD treatment
