Growing up as an athlete instilled in me life skills that have profoundly shaped my personal and professional development. Leadership, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to hard work have become the foundation of who I am—qualities that extend far beyond the playing field. The influential power of sports-inspired my passion for the business side of the industry, particularly in sports marketing and communications. I am especially dedicated to growing sports consumption. Throughout my career, women’s sports have been central to my work in various capacities. One of my proudest achievements was founding Indiana University’s first women’s ice hockey club after discovering a lack of outlets for women’s hockey on campus. This initiative ignited my passion for advancing the women’s game, which led to my role in communications for the Chicago Red Stars. While working in Youth Hockey Development for the Capitals, I served as a crucial member in planning, marketing, and executing the 2023 PWHPA DC Showcase. The gratifying experience of working in women’s sports sparked my master’s capstone project thesis, which explained how women’s professional hockey can achieve long-term success through the PWHL. In my professional journey, I’ve embraced challenges, tackled complex projects, and consistently demonstrated leadership and accountability. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to making a meaningful impact in sports and continue to motivate me to push boundaries, grow the industry, and elevate women’s sports to new heights.
