I\'ve spent my legal career as an attorney in Goldberg Kohn\'s litigation group, helping clients navigate labor and employment issues and the challenges of commercial litigation. I\'ve had significant traditional labor law experience, including representing employers in unfair labor practice charges and other matters pending before the National Labor Relations Board, counseling employers during union organizing campaigns, defending employer interests throughout the union-election process and negotiating union contracts.A considerable portion of my practice involves working with charter schools and providing counsel in a wide range of areas. I am committed to protecting charter schools\' interests and regularly advise charter schools on issues related to union organizing and collective bargaining agreements, employment law, charter applications, contract negotiations, state commission appeals and school policies. I speak regularly on topics related to charter schools, including with the Alliance of Public Charter School Attorneys as well as the Illinois Network of Charter Schools. Prior to attending law school, I interned with one of Chicago\'s largest charter school networks and have always been interested in the impacts of high-quality school choice on educational outcomes. I am a Chicago native and received my law degree, with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School in 2012. While attending U of C, I received recognition as a Kirkland and Ellis scholar (top 10%) and a member of the Order of the Coif. I received my Bachelors of Science, magna cum laude, in social policy from Northwestern University\'s School of Education and Social Policy in 2009.
