There is always room for improvement and there is always something to be learned from watching other people. Going above and beyond is something that should be done every day without the expectation of excessive recognition or reward. To be truly successful, you must know how every decision you make affects each aspect of business. Having pride in what you do is essential. I consider myself a work in progress and strive to get better everyday. I have worked in the oil and gas industry for the past 20+ years although I have been associated with it my whole life. It has taught me there are no cut and dried job descriptions. You do what you have to do in order to get the desired end result. Quick thinking, problem solving and excellent communication are a must. The challenges faced in this industry are unlike any other, being able to navigate them successfully and still provide a high quality service requires experience and an opened minded approach to each individual obstacle.
