ABOUT MEREDITH FREEMAN

Meredith Freeman is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in philanthropy, community development, and the social impact sector. Previous work experiences include the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Citibank Global Community Relations, and for eight years Meredith was a small business owner as the principal of MJK Community Partners, a consulting firm serving the nonprofit sector. Currently Meredith is the Director of Impact Investing and Alignment with the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation where she also served as the Foundation’s Interim Executive Director during the executive’s sabbatical. In 2014, Meredith was selected for the inaugural class of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellowship where her capstone project was the development of a learning community to support women of color entrepreneurs. Meredith received a B.A. from Michigan State University, and an M.S. in Management and Urban Policy from the New School in New York. She also taught graduate level courses in Nonprofit Management at Seton Hall University and the New School.Meredith is a proven leader with strengths in connecting systems and resources, program development, and executing the vision. Meredith brings a strong sense of purpose and intellect to her work, as demonstrated by an impressive career that has intentionally focused on strengthening urban communities.
