From my second week of employment, I worked as a Warehouse Marshall and later moved into a Goods In role.In the Goods In department, I was responsible for checking and processing incoming deliveries, ensuring that all goods received matched the relevant documentation and company requirements. I regularly used in-house warehouse management systems to book deliveries, process stock, and maintain accurate records.Part of my role involved creating and managing delivery appointments when required, coordinating transport movements, and supporting efficient yard and warehouse operations. I worked closely with all departments across the site, maintaining clear communication with managers, drivers, and warehouse colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Additional responsibilities included responding to emails, Microsoft Teams messages, and phone calls, handling requests from management, maintaining a safe and organised working environment, and reporting any issues or discrepancies with incoming stock to the Inbound Management team.This role required strong communication skills, reliability, attention to detail, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a strong commitment to health and safety procedures while supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
