Hi, I\'m Mercedes! I\'m a UX/UI designer based in Houston, Texas. With my background in the medical field, human and animal, I have had unique experiences empathizing with many different people. Daily challenges prompted me to problem-solve to improve quality of care for patients and pets. This combination of empathy and problem solving translated well to my interest in the human-centered approach of design. As someone who enjoys being deeply engrossed in personal projects, I love that design allows me to use my creative abilities to build an end product that will be useful for others. In my design work I value creating positive, pleasing, and genuine experiences. Outside of work, I like to flex my creativity through art, play online games with friends, and attempt several new things at once- currently including painting, hula hooping, and crafting polymer clay creatures.Transitioning into UX design, I’ve completed a Google certificate and am a 2024 Springboard graduate.
