1. Hazard Mitigation Planner

   Serve as lead planner and author for the 2025 King County Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan (RHMP), ensuring compliance with FEMA’s 2022 Local Mitigation Planning Policy Guide and Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) standards. Facilitating the development of the 2025 RHMP includes collaborating with partners and intergovernmental agencies to gather up-to-date insights and data, conducting public outreach to incorporate resident perspectives, researching regional mitigation capabilities and gaps, and aligning with other county plans to foster integration and reduce silos. Organized and facilitated a risk assessment workshop with over 60 regional subject matter experts, evaluating 14 hazards area of susceptibility, event magnitude, and probability of future occurrences. Presented findings to more than 30 local jurisdiction emergency managers across the county, assisting with tailored assessments for jurisdictions annexing to the 2025 RHMP.
