ABOUT MENGYU H.

Mengyu has 5 years\' Canadian work experience as a structural engineer in several consulting firms working on the metals & mining, industrial, and residential projects. She obtained her bachelor\'s degree in Structure Engineering from China Agriculture University and she received her master\'s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa. Mengyu is currently working as a structural engineer with Lycopodium Minerals Canada. She worked on the detailed engineering design for several mining projects. She was responsible for the steel and concrete design of major structures in the process plant. She also reviewed design drawings and answered technical questions from the site supervisor. While Mengyu was working with Ausenco Ltd. as a structural EIT, she worked on the feasibility study for mining projects. She produced the design criteria and prepared the material takeoff packages. Additionally, she also worked on the detailed engineer design for the Hardrock gold project. Before Ausenco, Mengyu worked with VIRTUAL Engineers Ltd. and Debaj Tech Structural Engineers Ltd. She participated in the structural design for various industrial and residential structures. Also, She prepared structural drawings and performed site inspections. Mengyu has increased her structural design skills through her work period. She is also a team worker and able to produce high quality work efficiently. With the passion to explore, Mengyu will keep update herself with the knowledge and skills that would help her overcome obstacles in the future tasks. Also, she will keep explore different types of projects to get more experience in the Engineering field.
