ABOUT KINA LIN

Research Focus: My academic pursuits revolve around investment theory and related research, price formation in capital markets, and hedge fund strategy (long-short strategy). I have extensively explored models such as the Fama-French Three-factor Model, the Fama-French Five-factor Model, the Fama-French Four-Factor Model, and the Carhart Four-Factor Model. My dissertation on \"The Long-Run Performance of Firms Issuing Seasonal Equity in the United States\" at Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK, in August 2021. Achievements: Until 2023, I have actively participated in 17 international financial, business, and trading competitions, earning invitations to Kun Shan University of Science and Technology. I bring three years of MATLAB experience, enjoy collaborative teamwork, and possess four years of expertise in Stata, Refinitiv Eikon, and Wharton WRDS for retrieving and analyzing financial data. In Q1 2023, I joined the Qualcomm Innovate in Taiwan Challenge (QITC). In Q3 2023 and Q2 2024, I engaged with the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency’s (ASVDA) project, securing a position in the global top 20 finalists. 2024 Accomplished FP & A and ESG learning Journeys Philanthropy and Social Impact: From 2018 to 2022, I supported initiatives to educate children and deliver computers to remote villages, bridging the urban-rural gap. This effort encouraged youth to apply their knowledge and engage with esteemed research universities, fostering participation in ESG-related projects. From 2011 to 2017, while working in the electronic innovation industry (plastic film capacitor/electrical resistance and conductance), I contributed to the editing of the GEPT English test, developed an English online teaching system, and participated in the translation of BMW product projects while working in the electronic innovation industry (Plastic Film capacitor/ Electrical resistance and conductance). She served in a top 500 company and promoted nine key technology projects: energy, automated production, electronic materials, information, biotechnology, green energy technology, food technology, Aviation, and healthcare. 2024 Completion: Sell-Side Equity Sales-Trader, Investment Banker ECM, Hedge Fund, Buy-Side Equity Execution Trader, Refinitiv Workspace Fundamentals, and Buy-Side Derivatives Risk Working towards CFA Stream.
