   I lead engineering teams in the store technology area. I\'ve worked with associate-facing technology and back-office technology products. I have performed both management and individual contributor roles.I have worked with five teams specifically dealing with product activation, returns, enterprise location, asset protection and core enterprise price and item data.My journey at Walmart began with building a local Reston based organization from scratch with a core set of senior members. I led efforts to establish engineering culture, build new teams and perform recruiting alongside my role as an individual contributor. I also directed volunteering efforts and established an in-office Toastmasters chapter.I have worked with internal technical customers and our business partners to determine requirements and manage product backlog. But I also like to be hands-on and spend the majority of my time as a productive member of the team. I enjoy making technical decisions and writing code agnostic of programming language. I love to mentor, talk and teach from my varied experiences.Specifically I have worked with Java, Golang and Clojure among other languages, and several platform tools relevant to a global scale enterprise such as Kafka, Cassandra, ActiveMQ, MariaDB to name a few. In my latest project I have been working on building a massive real-time data pipeline to keep information up to date in any of our nearly stores across the US.
