About Mena Ayazi
I help nonprofits and changemakers serving Global Majority communities move beyond extractive storytelling and build narratives rooted in community voice and power.After a decade in the global aid industrial complex, I saw the gap: brilliant grassroots leaders doing transformative work, but lacking access to the storytelling tools and platforms that amplify their impact.I’m building Awaz Creative Group to bridge that gap by bringing narrative strategy, branding, and ethical storytelling to immigrant-led and under-resourced organizations. The kind that challenge systems, not just fill gaps within them.I also host the Awaz Podcast, featuring conversations with changemakers rebuilding their communities on their own terms. And I write a Substack exploring what it takes to build impact without burning out, challenge narratives that don’t serve us, and create the life you actually want. Daughter of Afghan refugees.
