I believe that this combination provides our clients with the best possible outcome.My expertise spans a wide range of industries, but my focus is with clients in the financial services and manufacturing sectors. I am the immediate past president, and current chair of the Finance Committee of the Illinois St Andrews Society (also known as the Chicago Scots). I also serve on the board on the Chicago chapter of the British American Business Council.

   I assisted in the development of the international capability of the United States-based restructuring practice, first in the Detroit office over a three-year period, then in the Chicago office, where I now reside and serve as the liaison between the Restructuring & Recovery practice of Grant Thornton International and that of the United States organization.My experience with international matters is significant and diverse. I have worked with companies, their investors and their lenders in restructuring, purchase and sale of companies headquartered in or with operations in Canada, China, India, the United Kingdom, among other regions and countries. I have addressed complex issues and matters, including those associated with regulatory requirements and the application of bankruptcy laws in a variety of countries. I have recently presented to an international bank on the topic of the comparison of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings in the U.S, U.K, and Canada.
