About Melva Calvo

I built a business before I understood the science behind how people and organizations perform. 2+ years in marketing, 3+ years in business development and operations, taught me that organizational performance lives in how people are structured, supported, and set up to succeed. I came to Industrial-Organizational (I-O) psychology to formalize that instinct. I-O psychology applies behavioral science to the workplace — studying how people can be hired, developed, and supported to do their best work. I\'m currently an M.S. candidate at Florida Institute of Technology, putting that foundation to work through applied research and organizational effectiveness work at FIT\'s Center for Organizational Effectiveness. I\'m drawn to roles where people strategy meets execution, and where data-informed insights shape how organizations grow and perform.
