ABOUT MEL SCAFFOLD

I help people and organisations achieve sustainable, positive change through facilitation, coaching and creative consultancy.Action Learning: as an ILM accredited facilitator I have established and facilitated Action Learning programmes in a range of organisations, developing leadership, problem-solving skills and peer-support networks. Coaching: I provide a safe, non-judgemental space, facilitating clients’ self-directed learning and enabling them to get clarity about what they really want and how to get there. Trained and accredited through Relational Dynamics 1st and the British School of Coaching. Facilitation and development: I design bespoke organisational and sector development programmes, grounded in 20 years\' experience in Arts & Cultural Management. I facilitate warm, inclusive gatherings including Open Space events for groups of 10 – 150 people to solve complex problems together.I am interested in action research approaches to development that are grounded in:1. Systems thinking – a relational framework that looks at the big picture, connecting people to each other and the wider dynamic context they inhabit, and2. Appreciative inquiry – a strengths-based approach that starts with what works, valuing good processes and approaches that already exist, and building on them to solve problems.I am committed to upholding the values of equity and inclusion in my work.\"Raucous works regularly with Mel as someone who brilliantly keeps our company\'s vision crystal clear in terms of business planning, development and positioning. She is always a hugely influential cheerleader when we discuss with her any aspirations we may have for the future of the company and then becomes instrumental in helping us build a roadmap as to how we might achieve those goals.
