ABOUT MEL OKEEFFE
Mel O\' Keeffe is a senior engineering consultant with 26 years of structural design experience including reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete structural steel, woodframe and heavy timber. His extraordinary leadership and project management skills were instrumental in the acquisition of Sayers Engineering Ltd, which now operates as GS Sayers Engineering Ltd. These skills are invaluable to the daily operation of GS Sayers and in working with his vast array of clients. On top of this, Mel handles all P3 and design/build procurements.He has participated in residential, commercial and industrial building projects throughout British Columbia, encompassing most structural forms and building materials. These projects include steel structures, tilt-up warehouses, heath care facilities, office buildings, multi-storey residential housing, renovations, and structural upgrades including seismic retrofit projects and building envelope investigation and repair. Mel has participated in numerous building evaluation assignments ranging from due‑diligence assessment reports to review and repair of foundation settlement concerns to building envelope investigations. He has also provided forensic engineering and litigation support for the insurance and legal professions on a variety of claims.
