   Owner, manager, and operator of a small, local business in Scottsdale, AZ- Managing day to day operations, including taking and processing orders, answering phone calls, helping walk in customers, creating custom floral arrangements, overseeing the delivery of flower arrangements across the valley, managing employees, and keeping the shop in clean and working order- Overseeing an average of 10-15 floral deliveries every week day from start to finish, including running the deliveries directly to the customer- Hiring and managing employees, keeping an average of 2-5 employees on staff depending on the time of year- Quoting and providing florals for events and weddings, custom to the budget and needs of each individual client- Purchasing and tracking floral inventory on a weekly and daily basis to ensure that we create minimal waste- Managing busy floral holidays (Valentine\'s Day, Mother\'s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas), which sees an increase in order volume and requires delivery coordination, recruiting additional employees for the holiday, and purchasing materials (i.e, flowers, greenery, and vases) to be used in making the final product- Purchasing and tracking inventory for a retail gift shop located in the brick and mortar location, keeping an average of about 200 - 250 products just for the retail gift shop section- Planning, designing, photographing, and uploading new and unique floral arrangements to everyday collections, seasonal collections, and holiday collections- Built and maintained a new website through Shopify, increasing shop\'s visibility and Google ranking with a clean, pristine, and good-looking modern website. Floristry is a very visual business, and having excellent photography and product imagery is incredibly important for displaying work to potential customers- Doubled shop net profit in the first full fiscal year of business.
