With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I am an associate professor at Mississippi State University, where I teach and conduct research on mass communication, media studies, and public relations. I have a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi, and I am certified in Advancing Women of Color: Go from the First and Few to the Many by LinkedIn. I am passionate about public relations history, image repair strategies, and diversity and inclusion in academia. I have published multiple articles, books, and chapters on these topics, and I have received several awards and grants for my work.
