ABOUT MELISSA KING

I am a professional photographer located in Fort Mcmurray, Canada. I spend the last 14 years as a Reviewer (photo, illustrations, editorial and vectors) for Shutterstock, one of the leading stock companies in the business. I was the second reviewer to be hired and have been with Shutterstock from the early days.I was appointed the position of Senior Reviewer for a period of about 4 years. In that time I would oversee a team of reviewers responsible for image selection, technical and legal reviews of images. I would support day-to-day operations and work closely with the Director of Content Operations at that time, which included managing scheduling for review coverage, Holidays leave, Reviewer questions and concerns all while reviewing images for quality aspects and overall integrity. Also lead the team in the clean-up of metadata and keywords for accuracy in accordance with Shutterstock\'s submission guidelines and standards. My stock photography portfolio has over images. Covering a wide range of subjects, favourites being lifestyle, stills and effects. My images are selling around the world and have appeared in numerous print and web publications, including major newspapers and magazines, and advertising from web to billboards. I have been chosen as a featured photographer on many agencies like Dreamstime, where I was their first-ever photographer featured on their site.
