After 5 years in leadership roles as both an Executive Director and Program Director, I made the decision to step back into patient care as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Voluntarily shifting back into this role has reignited my dedication to patient care and provided me with a fresh new perspective as to how I can make an even bigger impact as a future leader. Right now, I’m out in the field seeing 30 to 40 patients a week, building trust one visit at a time. I work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and our clinical team to ensure we provide quality care. In addition to utilizing my clinical skills, I am also assisting our business development team by leveraging my past connections to open new doors for our team. It’s a different seat, but I’m still finding ways to create value beyond the visit and looking forward to transitioning back into leadership in the future.
