About Melissa Zargon
I have a degree in Environmental Engineering and experience in civil design focused on water and wastewater infrastructure. My work includes projects such as AC water main replacements, combined sewer overflow (CSO) reduction programs, and wastewater treatment plant upgrades — all aimed at improving public health and environmental outcomes.I enjoy working at the intersection of technical design, sustainability, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. My roles have given me the chance to work closely with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver solutions that are both effective and community-minded.Outside of engineering, I’m active in Seattle’s creative community, performing regularly with Bandit Theatre, an improv organization that’s helped me strengthen communication, adaptability, and presence in collaborative spaces.I’m especially interested in how technical work connects to people’s lived experience, and I continue to explore ways to support that connection through both my professional and creative life.
