About Melissa Wertz

Experienced Community College Executive Leader, with over 30 years of experience in higher education leadership, innovation, and fiscal management. I hold an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Walden University and an MS in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris University. I also have certifications on topics such as collaboration, transformational change, and high performance.My mission is to develop, evaluate, and continuously improve educational programs and student services that serve diverse student populations and partners. I lead the strategic management of all academic and student affairs aspects at four regional college campuses, overseeing areas such as workforce development, academic programming, student life, online education, experiential learning, and library services. I have built multimodal programs from certificate to bachelor\'s degree, created online and on-campus departments and infrastructure, and established partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders. I am passionate about learning, innovation, and inclusion and strive to be a transparent, transformative, and supportive leader. I aim to empower students, faculty, and staff to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
