ABOUT MELISSA ANSELL
Tackling messy problems and turning them into practical, scalable solutions is where I do my best work.My experience spans biotech, life sciences, and materials science, with leadership roles across Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Centers of Excellence, IT vendor management, and procurement.I have led transition management efforts during major organizational change, including HR capability transitions and the integration of suppliers and external workforce programs following four acquisitions. These efforts required aligning operations, technology, and talent so teams could reach operational independence quickly and sustainably.Alongside my practitioner work, I am researching capability transition and knowledge transfer as part of my doctoral studies. My research focuses on how organizations move work across teams and geographies, and what factors influence how quickly teams become operationally independent after a capability transfer.I am also deeply committed to education and mentorship. I enjoy coaching others, building partnerships, and translating complex ideas into practical workforce strategies that help organizations operate more effectively while keeping the human side of work in focus.
