About Melissa Garville

Melissa Garville is a Director within BlackRock\'s Corporate Communications Group, focusing on Corporate Affairs. She works closely with stakeholders across the firm to position BlackRock as a leader within the industry while managing reputational challenges. Prior to this role, Melissa worked in London from 2010 to 2012 and was a member of BlackRock\'s EMEA Corporate Communications team, supporting BlackRock\'s media relations programs across all client businesses in EMEA. She joined BlackRock in New York in 2007 to support Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. Melissa is a member of BlackRock WIN (Women\'s Initiative Network) and serves as Co-Chair of the WIN External Committee. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Brooklyn Jesuit Prep, a middle school whose mission is to provide low-cost, quality education to families in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, and on the Board of Directors for Washington Market Park, a non-profit neighborhood organization in TriBeCa that produces free public events and supports park restoration and improvements. Melissa earned a BA in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in 2003.
