ABOUT MELISSA CRIGLER FLUHARTY

Thriving in a fast paced work from home position with success driven results with Utilization Management and preservice review claims. Former Clinical Research Specialist who coordinated a variety of clinical trials for advanced heart failure, structural heart, invasive & non-invasive cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery at the WVU Medicine Heart & Vascular Institute in Morgantown, WV. Prior to joining the research team, Melissa spent six years in a variety of nursing roles, including direct patient care in the ICU and PACU, geriatric specialty care nursing for a private practice, and as a charge nurse. Melissa’s passion for helping others has led her career to clinical research trials with aspirations to help innovate the practice of cardiology. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University and maintains current licensure in West Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Melissa is a member of the WV Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Melissa is an avid Mountaineer football and basketball enthusiast as well as concert-goer, who enjoys gardening and floating down the Shenandoah River
