About Mel Guarino

In September 2025, I began a residency in EY\'s National Accounting Professional Practice as the Technology Industry resident supporting the income statement topic team. In this role, I anticipate and respond to the unique needs of the Assurance practice for the technology sector in various forms ranging from internal and external publications, development of standardized audit enablement, training and presentations, and sector-wide communications. In addition, I assist in accounting consultations involving complex technical accounting situations. In addition to my defined roles, I am an AI Champion within the National Accounting Practice and a Wellbeing Champion across the broader EY Americas practice.I joined the EY team in October of 2018 in US-East Assurance under the consumer products & retail and TMT industries. I have worked on large public clients, first-year SOX 404 implementation, private clients in a first-year audit, and have experience with IPOs. I received my Master\'s degree in Accounting in December 2017 with magna cum laude honors from Binghamton University, where I also received my Bachelor of Science in Accounting in December 2016 with magna cum laude honors. I am a licensed CPA in the state of New York.
