About Melissa Sullivan
I\'m passionate about the intersection of education, policy and human connection. I’m a career-switch educator with experience in Special Education and Intervention leadership at high-schools, where I’ve led professional development for staff, chaired the Academic and Behavior Intervention Team, and created multi-tiered systems of supports from the ground up. My work in the classroom can be found in the second edition of the Brain-Targeted Teaching Model, where I was invited to contribute as an expert practitioner. My students and teaching team inspired me to become a doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Education, where I researched barriers to the full-inclusion setting for neurodivergent students. The constructs explored include teacher self-efficacy, development, and knowledge of creating differentiated learning environments that are accessible for all learners. Let\'s connect!
