Managing a strict editorial standard in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment with up to 10-15 comics and graphic novels weekly, amounting to over 500 discrete titles to date. These comics include: SAGA, PAPER GIRLS, MONSTRESS, BITCH PLANET, THE WALKING DEAD, THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, SEX CRIMINALS, DEADLY CLASS, BLACK SCIENCE, EAST OF WEST, DESCENDER, KILL OR BE KILLED, I HATE FAIRYLAND, MIDDLEWEST, SNOTGIRL, etc.• Proofreading, copy editing, and line editing all creator-owned Image titles through various stages of the creative process, with specialized attention to each comic creator’s specific needs and to issues unique in the comics medium, including layout, design, and lettering problems.• Maintaining relationships and communicating closely with numerous comics creators and industry professionals to ensure a clean, clear, consistent, and mutually satisfactory final product.• Development and maintenance of style guides to ensure consistency and accuracy in internal and external communications and publications, including a discrete style guide for each Image title.• Instrumental involvement in the monthly collection and creation of Previews Catalog solicitations, which includes extensive copywriting and an intimate knowledge of all metadata, scheduling, and creator information.• Copywriting for cover copy and promotional materials.
