Payroll with + employees in the US and Canada - Responsible for providing leadership for the Payroll function for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners. Ensure that payroll processing (including employee Garnishments & Payroll Tax) is handled timely, accurately, efficiently and in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines- Protecting the assets of the company by ensuring that all policies, procedures, regulations and laws pertaining to payroll processing are followed by associates- Ensure that payroll taxes and other deductions are accurate and submitted timely in accordance with applicable regulations and laws- Develop and maintain processing controls for compliance, accuracy and quality throughout the payroll cycle- Meet all on-cycle payroll processing deadlines, completion of month end close procedures, quarterly and annual tax filing- Provide leadership and participation in Project Identification, Project Planning/Requests, Status Reporting, System Requirements Definitions, Testing and Implementation Planning- Represent payroll interest in cross functional project meetings and act as a payroll functional expert- Monitor legislative changes for payroll compliance issues and determine if system changes or large scale data updates are required.
