About Melissa T.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Arizona State University. I am a former Division 1 Women’s Volleyball player for both The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and Texas State University. I served on the Student- Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) while attending UTEP where I was highly involved in community service and implemented a pen pal program between UTEP Student Athletes and young athletes all across El Paso, Texas. In 2011, my volleyball team from Texas State University made a 1st Round Appearance in the NCAA Championships. I am a competitor at heart and strive to become the best in any job or task I am involved in through hard work and determination. Balancing athletics and academics has taught me how to efficiently manage my time in order to accomplish tasks.
