Melissa has a passion for finding innovative and creative solutions to meet client business needs. She has diverse experience in a variety of industries, including non-profit, life sciences, big box retail, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, airlines, federal government, finance, and publication. Areas of expertise include developing strategies to implement training and manage change to hundreds of employees in Patient Services, Nursing, Sales Organizations, Customer Service, Call Centers and Leadership. She has also completed several extensive global projects - partnering with stakeholders in Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Melissa has a knack for taking business goals and directly aligning them with performance management, communications and training needs for upper, mid and entry level employees. With an MA in Intercultural Communication, and a thesis focused on how ancient oral traditions affect present day culture and perceptions, Melissa has also proven valuable working with indigenous and global organizations. As a professor, Melissa taught Communication Theory, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication and Intercultural Communication. She was aligned with PeaceJam.org, worked closely with a Nobel Peace Laureate, and was heavily involved in the Denver / Front Range Native American Community. She studied in Nepal and worked in India. She has a passion for cognitive neurology, philosophy, statistics, and business strategy. She is fascinated with the distinctions between individual and cultural communication/perception. She is an avid listener and is known for asking key questions to help business leaders and experts communicate and train complex concepts/goals to their workforce.
