Melissa is a Partner in PwC Chicago\'s Risk & Regulatory practice specializing in Investigations & Forensic Services. She is experienced in assisting clients in preventing and remediating regulatory challenges, internal investigations, forensic accounting matters, and litigation support services. She has supported clients during proactive and reactive compliance risk assessments and regulatory and fraud investigations in regard to compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) regulations, fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, and corporate integrity agreements.Melissa has managed a large-scale, complex, global investigations involving US and international regulatory authorities. She has also managed due diligence compliance risk assessments on clients’ global operations, potential targets as part of pre/post acquisition due diligence, and third party vendor compliance risk assessments / audits. Her experiences cover ABAC Compliance Program build relating to policy and procedure gap assessment, third party screening and due diligence procedure development, and compliance program remediation efforts. Melissa also has experience in coordinating and leading both domestic and cross-border electronic discovery efforts as part of investigation matters.Melissa’s commercial experiences have spanned the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, consumer and industrial products industries. She has directed global compliance investigations and risk assessments in over 35 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin & South America, and the Middle East.She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
