Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as Executive Director at the Winter Park Library. Prior to being appointed Executive Director, Melissa served as the Assistant Director and as the Interim Director.She earned her B.A. from Rollins College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was nominated for Outstanding Graduating Senior. She earned her M.A. in Library and Information Studies from the University of South Florida. Melissa is also a graduate of the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute, Leadership Winter Park, and Leadership Orlando.Melissa has been recognized for her outstanding achievements and contributions, earning honors as one of Orlando Magazine’s 2022 Women of the Year, Winter Park Magazine’s 2023 Most Influential People, and Orlando Business Journal’s 2024 Women Who Mean Business. In 2025, she was recognized as the Community Partner Award recipient by The REED Charitable Foundation.A passionate advocate for literacy, education, and community engagement, Melissa is deeply involved in philanthropic initiatives. She has spearheaded programs and partnerships that expand access to resources, foster lifelong learning, and enrich the cultural fabric of Winter Park. Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional role, as she actively contributes to organizations and causes that support education and community development.
