Ms. Ross is the Project Manager for the Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department Small Diameter ContractRoss Engineering is pleased to announce our selection by Miami-Dade Water & Sewer for the County\'s small diameter sanitary sewer 1yr contract. Our scope of work includes detailed sanitary sewer manhole inspection, pump station wet well inspection, sewer gravity main CCTV inspection, and smoke testing. This project is the first of a two step process to reduce Infiltration/Inflow (I/I). In accordance with MDWASD’s guidelines, the project will help identify specific repairs through the manhole, pump station, and CCTV inspections. The smoke testing identifies potential sources of I/I that need further investigation to determine exactly which repairs may be needed. In addition, the smoke testing helps identify potential sources of I/I located outside of the publicly owned facilities. The second portion of the project includes the repair of the identified defects by the selected general contractor, which Ross Engineering will manage. Cleaning, inspections, and smoke testing procedures will be conducted in accordance with the contract specifications while minimizing inconvenience to residents. All defects identified will be logged into a database provided by MDWASD and repair recommendations will be determined using MDWASD ‘S Repair Criteria and Technology Guidelines. This one year project started in August 2011 with a very agressive schedule that completes in August of 2012.
